News

The school is placed in a large attractive house which was built by a local industrialist and originally lived in by his family. The former house is now the key stage 3 base and Key stage 4 pupils assemble and dine in an old coach house. A new classroom block opened in September 2005 housing two classrooms and a new science laboratory.

The school is set in several acres of wooded and open grounds and has an all weather football area. PE lessons take place in nearby specialist sports facilities. 

The school cellars have been converted into activity rooms where pupils can play pool and table tennis or can watch videos either as a Friday activity or as part of the curriculum in the video suite. There are also plans for an ART studio in one of the larger cellars.

The school has an extensive Horticultural area that is currently being developed. To add to our current planting beds & poly tunnels there will be an introduction of Livestock, extra beds & tunnels as well as a state of the art eco cabin teaching facility.

CAD Room & Home Economics Room! The school has undergone extensive work on a new CAD room and a state of the art purpose built home economics room for use in Vocational Education. facilities. Remember to visit the site again in the next few weeks to Picture to be put on the site soon.

Vocational Eductaion section. At Belmont we offer a broad curriculum including vocational education. This includes life skills such as cooking & health education as well as practical skills such as plastering, brick laying & joinery. Click the link to see a selection of recent pictures.
