As part of our drive to maintain, promote and engage pupil interest in reading, the school is celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 3rd March.
World Book Day celebrates the joy and value of books and reading, especially for children. There will be various activities and competitions running in school during form time for pupils to win prizes both as a form and individually. Last year, pupils really enjoyed dressing up and participating in the competitions so we hope that this year will be bigger and better!
As part of the school competitions and activities, we will be putting pupils in houses. The house with the most points will win some prizes. Each class will be attached to a house. Each house represents a colour, which we invite pupils to wear items of clothing the colour of their house on this day.
The houses are as follows:
Blue- 9T, 9M
Red- KS4E, 10B, 4N
Green- 7E, 7B
Yellow- 8L, 3N
We hope that pupils will enjoy celebrating World Book Day.
