Fantastic education for pupils aged 5 to 18 who experience social, emotional and mental health needs.

Welcome to Belmont School.

Our dedicated staff provide outstanding education for pupils between the ages of 5 and 18 who have very complex social, emotional and mental health needs.

Many of the pupils who attend Belmont also have additional learning and communication difficulties. We understand that a lot of our students often have a very negative attitude toward school. As a team, we take an interest in their lives and help to nurture their learning. Our support extends to a child’s family too, because when children are happy at home, they thrive in school.

Through our Primary School, Secondary School and Vocational Training Unit, we offer our pupils a wide range of creative indoor and outdoor learning opportunities and extracurricular activities. We know each child well enough to be able to set ambitious, realistic targets and put in place a structure of support to ensure they achieve them. Our class sizes are small, and we use a range of internal and external therapists who work on a one-to-one basis with our students as required.

An educational journey with us follows a broad and rich curriculum that allows children to be aspirational, whilst embracing their individuality and learning to manage their diagnosis of special educational needs. We aim to enhance life experience and instil and desire to achieve.
