Welcome to Belmont School
Our dedicated staff provide outstanding education for boys between the ages of 5 and 18 who have very complex social, emotional and mental health needs. Many of the boys who attend Belmont also have additional learning and communication difficulties.
We understand that a lot of our students have been excluded from mainstream education and often have a very negative attitude toward school. As a team, we come alongside them, take an interest in their lives and help to nurture an interest in learning. Our support extends to a child’s family too, because when children are happy at home, they thrive in school.
Through our Primary School, Secondary School and Vocational Training Unit, we offer boys a wide range of creative indoor and outdoor learning opportunities and extracurricular activities. We know each child well enough to be able to set ambitious, realistic targets and put in place a structure of support to ensure they achieve them. Our class sizes are small, and we bring in a range of external therapists who can work on a one-to-one basis with our students as required.
We care deeply about the future of our children and will do our upmost to help them participate fully in society when they leave Belmont.
