This year, our Belmont community has been busy adding to our beautiful poppy field in honour of Remembrance Day. Pupils showed incredible creativity and teamwork — some crafted poppies from wood and clay, while others took on the more challenging task of square lashing to build crosses.
We were also joined by pupils from the Secondary school for our annual outdoor Remembrance Day assembly at the Primary site. Together, we listened to The Last Post before observing two minutes of silence to honour all those who gave their lives so that we may live in freedom today.
A representative from each team laid their handmade tribute, and our Belmont Forest School Leaders shared moving poems of their choice — a truly thoughtful and respectful commemoration.
