Home News & Events Sharing Smiles and Nature: Belmont School Community Visit
Today, pupils from Belmont School enjoyed a lovely afternoon making bird feeders alongside the residents. One gentleman was particularly delighted to tell us about their resident robin and was very excited that we were preparing food to help care for the birds. The fat balls are currently setting and will soon be hung where residents can enjoy a clear view from the dining room and watch the birds visit.
Liam was an absolute delight with the residents, engaging warmly in conversations about gardening and wildlife. He brought real joy to the afternoon, and it was clear that the residents’ enthusiasm and kindness brightened his day just as much. Reflecting on the visit, Helen Guiver, Nurture Teacher, shared:
“It was wonderful to see the connections forming so naturally. Liam showed such kindness and confidence, and the residents were genuinely uplifted by the time spent together. Experiences like this are incredibly valuable for everyone involved.”
This visit was a fantastic example of the positive relationships our pupils build within the wider community and the mutual benefits of shared, meaningful experiences.
