From Allotment to Fork: Pumpkin Harvest 🎃

As we move into the spooky season, pupils at Belmont Secondary School have been busy harvesting pumpkins they have grown in our school allotment.

After months of care and hard work, the pumpkins were carefully picked and proudly delivered to our school chef, who will be transforming them into delicious homemade pumpkin soup for everyone to enjoy.

This fantastic allotment-to-fork experience gives pupils the opportunity to see the journey from growing fresh produce to creating nutritious meals. It also provides a practical way to develop an understanding of teamwork, sustainability and healthy eating, while celebrating the arrival of autumn.
