Home News & Events Year 6 Residential Adventure at Winmarleigh Hall
Our Year 6 pupils recently returned from an exciting residential visit to Winmarleigh Hall near Garstang, where they spent three days and two nights enjoying a packed programme of outdoor adventure activities.
Throughout the visit, the children embraced a range of challenges, including raft building, abseiling, zip wire, vertical challenge, obstacle course activities and archery tag. They also took part in survival skills sessions, learning practical techniques while developing their confidence, independence and problem-solving abilities.
The residential provided many opportunities for pupils to work together, support one another and demonstrate resilience when faced with new experiences. It was particularly pleasing to see so many children stepping beyond their comfort zones and approaching each activity with enthusiasm, determination and a positive attitude.
The pupils represented the school exceptionally well throughout the trip, displaying excellent behaviour and maturity at all times. The experience created many lasting memories and provided a valuable opportunity for personal growth as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journey.
We are incredibly proud of all the children and would like to thank the staff who accompanied them and helped make the visit such a success.
