Home News & Events 🌲 New Term, New Adventures! 🌲
We’ve had a fantastic start to the new term, with our pupils returning to The Meadow at Wood-Sage Outdoor Education full of energy and enthusiasm. It’s been brilliant to see everyone reconnect, embrace the outdoors, and dive straight into the experience.
Staying true to our child-led ethos, the week developed naturally—no two days looked the same. By following individual interests and curiosity, each pupil engaged in meaningful and personalised learning opportunities.
🪓 Highlights from the Week:
• Survival Skills: Pupils built dens and developed fire-lighting skills, even managing to get the kettle whistling!
• Precision & Play: Activities included air rifle target shooting, badminton, and some healthy competition with Giant Connect 4
• Outdoor Cooking: Pupils made pancakes from scratch, incorporating practical maths skills such as measuring and ratios
• Safety First: Learning how to safely extinguish fires and respect the environment by leaving no trace
🧠Our Focus:
A key priority this week has been supporting pupils to settle back into routine. Through mindfulness, time in nature, and a calm, supportive environment, everyone has returned to school feeling more confident, regulated, and ready for the term ahead.
