Last week, we welcomed a local guide dog charity into school, with three volunteers and a wonderful guide dog visiting our pupils. They shared insights into the vital role guide dogs play in supporting people with visual impairments to live independently.
Pupils also took part in a series of blindfolded activities, giving them a meaningful opportunity to experience some of the challenges faced by those who are blind or visually impaired. It was a powerful and engaging session that encouraged empathy, understanding and thoughtful reflection.
